Women of Achievement Table Talk
The Gloucester County Commission for Women has announced that its second virtual event, Women of Achievement Table Talk: How We Can Sustain Holistic Health, will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, via Zoom.
The event will feature a keynote address by Leslie Spencer, Professor and Department Chair, Health Promotion and Wellness Management at Rowan University. Professor Spencer possesses and will share from her deep well of expertise. This will be followed by a fruitful and inspiring discussion about the mind, body, and spirit. The 2020-2022 recipients of the Commission’s Women of Achievement Awards have been invited to add their insight, work, and experience as it relates to their efforts to sustain holistic health.
Gloucester County Commissioner Director Frank DiMarco said, "I am very proud of the Commission for Women’s ongoing commitment to recognizing and celebrating the many contributions of exemplary women to the essence and fabric of Gloucester County. The Commission plays an invaluable role in our community.”
Commissioner Jim Jefferson, who serves as Liaison to the Commission for Women, is scheduled to attend the October 7 event. Commissioner Jefferson noted, “this event recognizes that health means so much more than just physical wellness. As Liaison to the County’s Department of Health and Human Services, I could not agree more.” Jefferson continued, “I thank the Commission and Professor Spencer for organizing this event and for their ongoing efforts to support, educate, and advocate for all women of Gloucester County.”
Upon registration, attendees will receive information and instructions for joining the Zoom session.
