Responsibilities
The primary function of the Corrections Unit is to make sure every Gloucester County prisoner is legally incarcerated, is seen by a Judge and is legally discharged in a timely manner. The professionalism of the personnel in this area allows them to effectively meet the demands of managing such a large inmate population. Additional duties consist of:
- Coordinating Video Court
- Inmate Housing Assignments
- Inmate Programs
- Inmate Time Credits
- Inmate Transport Requests
- Parole
- Work Details
All Gloucester County arrestees will be transported and admitted into the Salem County Jail. Once processed and classified, they may be transferred to be housed in another facility.
