The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office will host the roundtable discussion on the Bias in Schools and The Youth Bias Task Force on Thursday, January 28 via Zoom.
The Interagency Task Force to Combat Youth Bias (Task Force) was created to address the dramatic increase in reported bias incidents in New Jersey, especially among children and young adults, over the past several years.
The roundtable event will discuss the Youth Bias Task Force annual report put together by the Interagency Task Force to Combat Youth Bias. The Interagency Task Force to Combat Youth Bias (Task Force) was created to address the dramatic increase in reported bias incidents in New Jersey.
“Discussions like this are difficult to have, but absolutely necessary in order to create a better society for our youth,” said Commissioner Director Robert M. Damminger. “Bias incidents harm individuals, they discriminate, exclude, intimidate, degrade, dehumanize, threaten, and label people as ‘other.’ None of this is what Gloucester County stands for."

Commissioner Deputy Director Frank J. DiMarco will be a special guest as he is liaison to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.
“As liaison to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office it’s extremely important to unlearn biases and address the systemic racism towards youth,” said Deputy Director Frank J. DiMarco. “We cannot turn away from our role in perpetuating bias, and we are gathering to continuing to making changes towards a better future.”
