Gloucester County Department of Health and Division of Senior Services is now accepting registration for the Step-by-Step Walking Program.

The Step-by-Step Walking Program is a program designed especially for older adults. The program lasts one hour over 6 weeks- although do not need to attend all 6 classes.

“The Gloucester County Department of Health will help you find new ways to make walking for fitness a natural part of your routine,” said Director Frank J. DiMarco.

Classes are held at Thompson Family Park 40 E. Wolfert Station Rd. Mickleton, NJ 08056 on Tuesday, April 5 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“As you get older, it’s important to keep active and increase physical activity. This doesn’t have to be an intimidating addition to your daily routine,” said Commissioner Jim Jefferson, liaison to the Department of Health and Division of Senior Services.

Class is contingent upon a minimum of 10 participants. Registration is completely free.

To register, or to learn more, contact the Gloucester County Department of Health at (856) 218-4108 or email dheitman@co.gloucester.nj.us.
