[ARCHIVED] Explore Spring Wildflowers at Scotland Run Park

Nature-2

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Scotland Run Park’s “St Patrick's Day Spring Wildflower Talk and Walk” on Saturday, March 19.

Dr. Dan Duran, Gloucester County Naturalist, will be leading a walk and giving a presentation on what flowers to be looking out for as we approach consistent warmer weather.

“Our parks begin to show their beauty in the beginning of spring,” said Director Frank J. DiMarco. “We have created this program to explore the wildflowers that will begin to pop up across the county and inside our own parks! It’s the perfect way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day- you might even find a four-leaf clover!”

The program will run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Scotland Run Park’s Nature Center 980 E Academy St. Clayton 08312. This program is free to the public and open to all ages. Registration is required: https://bit.ly/3ie72jj

“This program will include a presentation about our local wildflowers and then a guided walk around Scotland Run Park. There’s no better way to welcome spring than to visit our parks,” said Commissioner Jim Jefferson, liaison to the Department of Parks and Recreation.
