(Clayton, NJ)—The Gloucester County Animal Shelter will be visiting community events this fall and bringing furry friends with them.

GCAS will be present at the Calvary Hill Fall Festival on Saturday, October 23 at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m at Calvary Hill Church 535 Mullica Hill Rd., Glassboro. NJ.

“Bring the whole family out to the Fall Festival for fall fun like hayrides, pumpkin painting and of course, check out the Animals at the GCAS Mobile Trailer,” said Director Robert M. Damminger. “Our Mobile Trailer has been a great addition to the shelter’s outreach efforts and our animals are finding forever homes across the County.”

GCAS is also partnering with local golf course, White Oaks Country Club, for their Howl-O-Ween Fundraiser event on October 30. Howl-O-Ween is a 4-person scramble fundraiser benefiting GCAS. Players should arrive at 9 a.m. for registration. 10 a.m. will be the shotgun start.

“Partnering with the community is an important part of running the shelter. It’s with the communities’ help that we can get our animals into their forever homes,” said Deputy Director Frank J. DiMarco.

Fees include $60 for members, $80 for club members and $90 for the public. Included in the price of playing is golfing, adult beverages, hole contests, raffles, Chinese auctions and a buffet dinner. If you wish to enjoy dinner but not interested in golfing, a $40 donation is requested.
