(Sewell, NJ) Gloucester County will hold a Mega Job Fair on Friday, October 15 from 9 a.m. to noon at the RCSJ Gymnasium.
The Gloucester County Board of Commissioners and Workforce Development Board (WDB) encourage residents to attending one of the WDB’s free advance workshops to be prepared for the October 15 Mega Job Fair.
Commissioner Director Robert M. Damminger said, “The Mega Job Fair is one of the largest job-seeking resources the county has to offer, benefiting both employers and applicants on a large scale. It is a great way to connect, network, and even interview on the spot with over one hundred different employers who need new employees.”
“The workshops focus on resume writing, interview techniques and other important aspects to improve an applicant’s chances of being hired either on the spot, or in the near future,” said Commissioner Heather Simmons, Liaison to the Department of Economic Development. “We conduct these sessions before each job fair. They are an excellent way to help jobs seekers prepare, especially if it has been some time since their last job search.”
Attendees should make sure to dress in business appropriate clothing, bring copies of their resume, and be prepared for the possibility of an immediate interview.
“The job market has become increasingly competitive and many industries are offering increased hourly wages, sign-on bonuses and free college tuition to attract and retain employee. This means there are thousands of opportunities for you in South Jersey to land a good paying job with an attractive benefits program,” said Director Damminger.
To help job seekers prepare for the Mega Job Fair, the WDB is offering free workshops where attendees can learn job fair strategies, social media techniques, and how to improve their resumes from experts.
