Gloucester County Department of Health is sponsoring its 2nd Annual Family Health Summit, on Saturday September 18th from 8 am to 12 noon, rain date Saturday October 2nd.
The Family Health Summit will be held at Atkinson Park, 138 Bethel Mill Rd in Sewell.
“This free event will get families moving together and having fun,” said Commissioner Director Robert M. Damminger.
“We encourage our residents to enjoy all our park has to offer as well as learn some new and fun activities,” stated Commissioner Jim Jefferson.
The Summit offers free blood pressure screenings, refreshments and healthy snacks. The goal of the health summit is to provide an opportunity for residents to foster healthy behaviors, introduce different activities families can take part in together, and get to know all that our parks have to offer.
Activities available will be:
- Pickle Ball (Limited number of participants)
- Frisbee Golf
- A Hula Class
- Guided nature trails and fitness stations at the park
The Family Health Summit is sponsored by the Gloucester County Board of Commissioner, the Gloucester County Department of Health and the Gloucester County Department of Parks and Recreation.
