The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office is partnering with local police departments to help individuals suffering from substance abuse and addiction.
Straight to Treatment allows any individual to walk into a participating police department and explain that they need help battling an addiction. Once they complete the application process, they are immediately put in touch with a treatment provider.
“This is an amazing program for individuals who are struggling with addiction,” said Commissioner Director Robert M. Damminger. “Addiction recovery needs to be accessible for all. Addiction touches so many of us and our families, we want to be there for them when they’re ready to get help. Our local police stations have enthusiastically participated in launching this program. The goal of Straight to Treatment is to bring individuals who are in need of addiction treatment to the resources we have in Gloucester County.”
“We are going to continue to increase the program’s coverage area and we are striving to effectively provide services to those who are seeking to overcome substance use disorder and turn around their lives,” said Commissioner Deputy Director Frank J. DiMarco.
