ERABannerPg

Gloucester County has received funds from the U.S. Department of Treasury to provide rental relief to landlords and tenants through the Gloucester County Emergency Rental and Utility Assistance Program (ERAP).

The County has launched this program to provide financial assistance toward unpaid rent or utility bills for renter households in Gloucester County that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Gloucester County is pleased to be partnering with ERAP to help those struggling with finances to their housing. I encourage those that need assistance to call our hotline number, 856-336-3700, and let us assist you in applying,” said Director Robert M. Damminger.

“The COVID-19 pandemic economic impact is still being felt by many in our community. These funds will help residents continue their journey to financial recovery,” said Commissioner Heather Simmons.

These funds are to provide rental and utility arrears and temporary rental assistance to Gloucester County low-and moderate-income households that have had a substantial reduction in income, have qualified for unemployment benefits, incurred significant costs, or experienced a financial hardship due, directly, or indirectly, to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligible applicants may receive up to 12 months of assistance for arrears and additional 3 months of future payments, if necessary.
