Career
Matt has an extensive career in public service. From 2007-2008 he served as a legislative aide to then Assemblyman, now Senator Paul Moriarty. After graduating law school, Matt was the staff attorney to the New Jersey State League of Municipalities, providing legal advice to towns across the state and lobbying the state government to benefit the residents of New Jersey. Since 2013 he has been in private practice, serving in various legal roles, including solicitor, prosecutor, and public defender, to multiple government bodies.
Other Involvements
From 2012-2014, Matt volunteered for the Pitman Economic Development Committee, including serving as chair from 2013-2014. In 2017 he was appointed to the first ever Pitman Senior Outreach Committee, helping connect seniors in Pitman to needed services and recreation opportunities. From 2018 to 2023, Matt proudly served as a member of Pitman Borough Council. During his time on council, he served as Supervisor of the Construction Office, Supervisor of Public Property, and Director of Public Safety.
Personal Life
Matt lives in Pitman with his wife Sarah and his children Olivia and Max. In his free time he enjoys reading about history, particularly Ancient Rome and the American Civil War. Whenever it’s nice out you can usually find him out for a run or on the Pitman Golf Course.
