Residents recreate history in annual 10-mile run Jonas Cattell run
November 12, 2019  (National Park, NJ) On Sunday, Oct. 27, Gloucester County celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the 10-mile run Jonas Cattell embarked on to warn the soldiers of Fort Mercer at Red Bank that over 1,200 Hessian soldiers were approaching to take over the fort during the Revolutionary War.

Crisis Intervention Team trained in Gloucester County
November 7, 2019  (Deptford, NJ) - The Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) held their first training session in Gloucester County from Oct. 21 to Oct. 25 at Rowan College of South Jersey – Gloucester County. The CIT program is a local initiative designed to improve the way law enforcement and community mental health providers respond as a team to people experiencing a mental health crisis.

Two new initiatives introduced in the fight against the ongoing opiate crisis
November 6, 2019  (Deptford, NJ) On Wednesday, Oct. 30 the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, in collaboration with the Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services, held a luncheon presentation to introduce two new initiatives in Gloucester County: The Road to Recovery Program, and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA).
