Best of Gloucester County voting kicks-off on April 9 and runs through July 28

(Gloucester County, NJ)— With 140 business categories to choose from, Gloucester County residents can vote for their favorite diner, pharmacy, food store, fitness center and more as part of this year’s Best of Gloucester County contest, according to Deputy Director Heather Simmons, Liaison to Economic Development.

The Best of Gloucester County contest kicks-off on April 9 and runs through July 28 and will culminate with an awards ceremony at a location to be determined.

Director Frank J. DiMarco said, “Our business community is the heart of the county and The Best of Gloucester County contest is a fun and competitive way for all of us to honor them and showcase the people’s choice for ‘Best Of’ in many different categories. ”

Deputy Director Simmons, liaison to the Department of Economic Development said, “This good-natured competition allows businesses to claim bragging rights for the next 365 days as the best of the county and is a great way for our local businesses to promote themselves.   Last year there was 83 repeat winners and for the first time in the history of the Best of Gloucester County, there was a tie and both winners were from the same municipality.  I’m excited to see which municipality will have the most winners this year and how many repeat winners we will have.”

“Winners receive special pricing on advertising offers and proclamations stating that they have been voted Best of Gloucester County,” said Deputy Director Simmons.

The Gloucester County Board of Commissioners, NJ Advance Media, the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce and TD Bank partner to sponsor this event.

Your ballot may be submitted online at www.gcbestof.com or mailed to the Gloucester County Department of Economic Development, 1480 Tanyard Rd. Sewell, NJ 08080. Paper ballots can be found in The South Jersey Times Wednesday edition.
