Gloucester County will hold Virtual Mega Job Fair and Resource Event

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Gloucester Board of Commissioners, in partnership with the Gloucester County Workforce Development Board, is presenting the Gloucester County Virtual Mega Job Fair and Resource Event.

This year’s virtual job fair will be held Friday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Our job fairs provide a great opportunity for anyone to speak to a wide variety of business owners looking for new, dedicated employees,” Commissioner Director Robert M. Damminger said. “Although we’re virtual this year, our job fair will be no different and we expect the same amount of success.”

“Taking that first step when job searching can be difficult and many people don’t know where to start. The COVID-19 pandemic has not been kind to job seekers, but we have employers ready to hire and resources to help our unemployed residents,” said Commissioner Heather Simmons, Liaison to the Department of Economic Development.

“The mega job fair makes that initial step much easier by providing a wide variety of job types to explore as well as a face-to-face interaction with employers looking to hire,” said Commissioner Simmons.

Job seekers must register to participate by visiting https://portal.premiervirtual.com/event/register-jobseeker/6154-gloucestercounty-mega-fair-resource-event

While registering, individuals will be asked to upload their resume to the virtual platform and answer three short questions. Although virtual, job seekers should still prepare to dress for success and have copies of your resume on hand.

Job seekers will be able to chat and video interview with recruiters right from the virtual job fair platform.

A reminder will be sent to those registered 2 days before the event.

Individuals in need to assistance while registering can contact the Gloucester County Department of Economic Development at 856-384-6930 regarding registration.
