Active Aging

The number of senior citizens in Gloucester County is increasing daily as "baby boomers" reach retirement age. The Division of Senior Services is dedicated to providing wellness and social supports that help ensure the sound quality of life for our senior residents. Active Aging changes the way we age by staying active, to the fullest extent possible, within all areas of life:

  • Emotional
  • Intellectual
  • Physical
  • Social
  • Vocational

Aging within these areas of wellness keeps seniors involved, alert, and enjoying a productive life. Active Aging means being engaged in life and individuals can participate regardless of socioeconomic status or health conditions. The programs that are listed provide the information, access, and motivation people need to become and stay active, engaged, and healthy.
