1st Family Fun Fest this Saturday

(Deptford, NJ)  Gloucester County families are invited to attend the first Family Fun Fest at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology, 1360 Tanyard Road, Deptford Township, on June 2nd from 12 noon to 3 pm. 

This fun filled day will offer a wide variety of activities that are intended to get parents and their school aged children moving in new and interesting ways, said Freeholder Director Stephen M. Sweeney.

Freeholder Helene M. Reed said that families can participate in dance and cheerleading classes, play with interactive video games and see how exergaming can help get parents and children in shape.

There will be a lot of fun events for the kids to participate in, and there will be opportunities for parents to learn new skills in organized games that their families can play at home, said Freeholder Reed, liaison to the Department of Health and Senior Services.

This event is made possible by the Gloucester County Department of Health and Senior Services and the Gloucester County Cancer Coalition.  This is a free event.  All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Everyone is encouraged to participate in the activities.  For more information contact the Department of Health and Senior Services at (856) 262-4101 and ask about the Fun Fest.
