Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity Gloucester County Justice Complex Expansion Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

WHAT: The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil the new 128,311 square foot expansion to the Gloucester County Justice Complex that holds 9 new courtrooms and judge's chambers. In addition to the courtrooms, the expansion provides new and ample space for the Jury Assembly and administrative offices for Family Division, Finance Division and Criminal Division Courts, conference rooms, juvenile intake, a law library, and jury deliberation room for grand jurors.

The expansion of the courts, which has been done in phases, was determined in a 1999 study released by the Gloucester County Judicial Planning Committee for Capital Development as necessary to meet the demands of the region, and provide ample security for the courts and public. The Judicial Planning Committee was comprised of members of the Superior Court, the Bar Association, the County and the City of Woodbury.
