Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity Signal to be Switched On at Route 45 & Mullica Road (322) in Harrison Township

WHAT:

The Freeholders and local officials will switch on the new signal constructed at the intersection of South Main Street (Route 45) and Mullica Road.

The signalization of the intersection provides for a fire station pre-emption to allow the fire fighters at Harmony Fire station (located at the intersection) to control the signal during emergencies.

New sidewalks and handicap ramps were also installed at the intersection and one of the corners was improved to provide for the crosswalks, handicap ramps and improved truck turning movements.  Stop bar striping was placed to allow for truck turning movements.

This project was 100 % federally funded through the ARRA federal stimulus program.
