COUNTY TO HOST REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FORUM The forum will feature experts from various federal and state agencies dealing with local economic development.
(West Deptford, NJ) – Gloucester County has been selected to host one of two statewide forums that will focus on economic development co-sponsored by the New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) and the New Jersey State League of Municipalities (League).
The Gloucester County event scheduled for this Friday, October 12th will be held at the RiverWinds Community Center, 1000 RiverWinds Drive, Thorofare, NJ, from 8 am to 1 pm.
Freeholder Director Stephen M. Sweeney said, “NJAC and the League are two organizations that work on behalf of counties and municipalities to provide them with the latest information and strategies on how to provide more effective government services. They have designed this forum exclusively for local government officials interested in promoting, planning and managing economic growth in their communities.”
“It’s going to be a great opportunity for local officials to learn from and ask questions of some of the most sought after people in the agencies that deal with issues that surround economic development,” Sweeney stated.
“Gloucester County is the perfect place for this forum because we have been so successful with our economic development programs,” said Freeholder Joseph A. Brigandi, Jr. “We always have something to learn, and I am sure will learn new information during the forum. We also have a lot of knowledge to offer and we want to share that with other local governments too,” Brigandi said. Brigandi is the liaison to the Gloucester County Department of Economic Development.
The forum will feature experts from various federal and state agencies dealing with local economic development. It will include also various county and local officials from whose experience others can benefit. Speakers will include:
