MEDIA ADVISORY/PHOTO OPPORTUNITY Ribbon Cutting and Tour of the GCIT Expansion & Enhanced Academy High To Begin
Gloucester Freeholders will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the final expansion to the Gloucester County Institute of Technology (GCIT). The 46,817 square foot addition to GCIT includes 24 new 'Smart' classrooms, a new gymnasium, an expanded guidance area, four additional welding stations, and the renovation of the main entrance. This expansion adds 450 seats to be phased in to the technical school.
A signing agreement will also take place at the ribbon cutting event, allowing this year's incoming freshmen to be the first to have the opportunity to participate in an enhanced Academy High School and earn both a high school degree and an Associate Degree from GCC.
