Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity Energy Saving Solar Program for Municipalities to Begin

WHAT:

Gloucester County Freeholders will announce that the county will be the first in New Jersey to install solar panels on flashing and regular traffic signals to reduce energy costs to municipalities. The project will be funded through a federal grant and the project will begin with solar panels to be placed on 34 flashing signals throughout the county.

Flashing Traffic Signal located at the intersection of Barnsboro Road and Jefferson Road, Mantua Township.
