13th Annual Water Fest

(CLAYTON) - The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders announced that the 13th Annual Gloucester County Water Fest will be held on Sunday, June 6, at Scotland Run Park from 11 AM to 4 PM. Water Fest is the County's largest environmental fair featuring exhibits, crafts, food and music during the free event. Freeholder Director Stephen M. Sweeney said, "The focus of Water Fest is how we can all be more responsible to our environment and learning about it in a fun way. There is a lot to learn at this event, and it is a great time to reconnect with nature." This year's festival includes Bwana Jim,s Wildlife Show "Have Alligator Will Travel". Three amazing shows featuring the weird and exotic animals will be held at 12 noon, 1:30 pm and 3 pm. There will be free face painting from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, and canoeing and kayaking from 12:30 to 3:30 pm during Water Fest. "This event is a great way to kick off our summer season. Gloucester County offers free concerts, movies, family fun shows and more all summer long. Water Fest is the official start of our Parks and Recreation programs," said Freeholder Frank J. DiMarco. Water Fest sponsors includes Gloucester County Department of Parks and Recreation, LS Power, Valero Paulsboro Refinery and Godwin Pumps. The event is free of charge. The Water Fest will be held rain or shine. Scotland Run Park is located on Academy Street (Co. Route 610) in Clayton.
