Scotland Run Park Playground to be Resurfaced
(Clayton) – The Gloucester County Department of Parks and Recreation announced today that the resurfacing of the playground at Scotland Run Park will begin this Saturday, November 10th and that the playground will reopen on November 24th.
Greenlane Contractors will be performing the resurfacing work and taking up the existing rubberized tiles and replacing them with a ‘poured-in-place’ solid rubberized surface.
“This is the best safety surface for playgrounds and accessibility,” said Freeholder Director Sweeney. “The poured-in-place surface is superior to the rubberized tiles which can peel over time,” the Director said.
Freeholder Frank DiMarco said that an average 150 children per day utilize the playground at Scotland Run Park. “We waited until the weather cooled down to do this project so we didn’t disrupt the busiest time in the playground season.” DiMarco is the liaison to the Department of Parks and Recreation.
Scotland Run Park is located at 980 Academy Street in Clayton, it is the largest of the County’s Park and it is open all year from dawn to dusk.
