Parrot Beach Band Will Bring the Sounds of the Islands to Atkinson Park

Free Concert scheduled for Tuesday, July 25th at 7 pm

(Washington Twp.) – Residents can enjoy the sounds of the Jimmy Buffet tribute band, Parrot Beach, at a free concert on Tuesday, July 25th at 7 pm at the James G. Atkinson Memorial Park located at Delsea Drive and Bethel Mill Road in Hurffville.

“We added a lot of new events to our summer parks programming this year including the Movies in the Park and the new Weeknight Rock at the Park to feature entertainment from popular bands like Parrot Beach and Don’t Call Me Francis,” said Freeholder Director Stephen M. Sweeney. “The County still offers its traditional free Sunday evening concert series that takes place every Sunday throughout the summer at Atkinson Park, but we wanted to offer something new and different and Weeknight Rock at the Park was created to bring in a variation of music from the Sunday night concerts,” Sweeney said.

Freeholder Frank DiMarco, Liaison to the Parks Department said, “Parrot Beach is going to be a lot of fun. This band typically plays at Atlantic City casinos throughout the summer and Key West and the Caribbean Islands in the winter, so we were fortunate to be able to book them for and have them play in the county park for our residents to enjoy.”
