Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity Dedication Of Flag Display

WHAT: A dedication ceremony of an American Flag Display will take place at the Veterans Affairs Office at Five Points. The Flag was recovered and saved by Vietnam Veteran Alvin E. Handt from a Brown Water Navy Boat in the Mekong Delta shortly before it went down in July 1968. The boat was part of the US Navy River Assault Division 914. The Flag has been folded and placed in a flag display case and will be unveiled at the dedication.
