County Hosts Bankers & Brokers Breakfast Annual event offers important information to business leaders and investors

(Woodbury, NJ)- Gloucester County Freeholder Director Stephen M. Sweeney and Freeholder Joseph A. Brigandi Jr. announced today that the Gloucester County Department of Economic Development is hosting their annual Bankers and Brokers Breakfast at RiverWinds in West Deptford on Friday, March 3rd from 8 am to 10 am.

"This year's forum will offer expert insight into issues pertaining to public financing, commercial development and what is new with brownfield sites, as well as how to navigate through the land use approval process," said Freeholder Director Sweeney.  "We began hosting the Bankers and Brokers Breakfast five years ago to showcase what the County was doing and what we had to offer in terms of programs and partnerships.  Since then, this event has grown into a very successful morning where decision makers and investors can hear first hand about what is happening in Gloucester County and gain knowledge about state financing products and how to work through the governmental system," Director Sweeney said.

Freeholder Joseph A. Brigandi Jr, liaison to Gloucester County's Department of Economic Development, said that this year's speakers include:  Sam Leone, Finance Officer in the Division of Community Development for the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), who will speak about NJEDA financing products;  Jim Watson of the County's Economic Development Department will address current commercial development and brownfield properties; and Larry DiVietro, President and CEO of Land Dimensions Engineering who will speak about navigating through the land use approval process.

"Gloucester County has been nationally ranked as a leader in job growth.  That accomplishment is in part due to the work we do to create partnerships and a solid foundation for business and industry to be successful here," stated Freeholder Brigandi.

"We do everything we can to give business leaders a forum where they can acquire information and resources about governmental initiatives and programs directly from the people who provide the services, and that can be invaluable to how they plan their future," Brigandi said.  The Freeholder noted that over 100 people attended last years' breakfast.
