Library Happenings in Gloucester County

Gloucester County Freeholder Director Stephen M. Sweeney and Freeholder Bill Krebs, liaison to the Gloucester County Library System, announced the following programs at the Gloucester County Library:

What:Lions Sight Mobile

Where:Mullica Hill branch of the Gloucester County Library System
Route 45 & Wolfert Station Road, Mullica Hill NJ

When:Saturday, January 21, 2006, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm.

Free eye exams will be offered. Visit the three displays in the library to see what else Lions do and how to become a Lion in the now forming Mullica Hill Lions Club.

What:Building and Financing Your Business with the SBA

Where:Mullica Hill branch of the Gloucester County Library System
Route 45 & Wolfert Station Road, Mullica Hill NJ

When:Wednesday, January 25th, 9:30am-12 noon

For individuals who are in business or thinking of starting a business. Get information on the business loans and technical assistance programs offered by the SBA. Bank lending officers will be on hand to discuss their role in the SBA's Guaranteed Lending Program. Lenders will discuss what goes into a good loan proposal, how to increase your chances of getting a loan and how to get through the loan application process. Representatives from the Rutgers Small Business Development Center, the US Small Business Administration, and other agencies will explain their services and programs for small business.

What:Job Interview Skills

Where:Glassboro Branch, 2 Center Street, Glassboro

When:Thursday, January 26, at 6:30 pm.

Business trainer and consultant, Bob Marino, will provide tips on job interviews and how to prepare for them.

What: "Jim Murphy and the Pine Barons" will present a program of bluegrass favorites with
a Jersey twist

When: Saturday, February 4, at 7 pm

The Saturday Night at the Library series takes place the first Saturday evening of each month, October - May.
