Disability Employment Job Fair and Resource Event scheduled for July 26
Free workshops offered to enhance Job Fair experience
(Clayton, NJ) –On Friday, July 26 the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders will sponsor their annual Disability Employment Job Fair and Resource Event from 9 a.m. to noon at the Gloucester County's Clayton Complex, 1200 N. Delsea Drive.
Preceding the Employment Fair, free workshops will be held to help prepare job seekers with effective resume and social media techniques and job fair strategies. The workshops are offered on Thursday, July 18 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and Tuesday, July 23 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Both workshops will be held at the Gloucester County Adult Center for Transition (ACT), Room 121, 530 Salina Road, Sewell. Participants only need to attend one workshop and registration is required to attend the workshop by calling (856) 384-6963 or online at www.gcwdb.org.
Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, "Everyone who is able deserves the opportunity to have a job. This Disability Employment Job Fair and Resource Event will help match qualified job seekers with potential employers in an environment that takes away barriers."
Freeholder Heather Simmons, Liaison to the Department of Economic Development said that this will be the fourth year that the Disability Employment Job Fair and Resource Event has been provided to job seekers and potential employers with an opportunity to meet and network.
Simmons said, "Traditional job fairs are a great way for employers and job seekers to connect and this is no different. Job seekers have had great success over the past four years gaining employment through this event and we anticipate that at least another twenty-five individuals will be hired again this year as a result of this event.”
Freeholder Jim Jefferson, Liaison to the Department of Health and Human Services, said “This job fair has proven a positive experience for all involved. It is a way for employers to find skilled employees while also showing job seekers that they have a lot to offer.”

Additional staff will be onsite to assist job seekers to make sure they get the most out of the job fair experience
