Child Advocacy Center Resource Fair provides service, outreach, and information

(Woodbury, NJ) The Gloucester County Prosecutors Office and the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP) came together on Thursday, May 2 to host the Gloucester County Child Advocacy Center Resource Fair.

Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, "While the Child Advocacy Center Resource Fair focused on a subject matter we tend to avoid in daily conversation, the Gloucester County Prosecutors Office and Division of Child Protection did a great job in making the event an approachable one, providing face painting, balloon art, and ice cream to create a safe, open environment."

Freeholder Jim Jefferson, Liaison to the Department of Health and Human Services, said, "The resource fair opened up a great opportunity to both entertain those who were in attendance while also providing services and outreach to members of the community who may have been affected some way by sexual assault or child abuse.  They provided important information on reporting, investigating, medical services, victim advocacy, and prevention."
