‘What’s Brewing in South Jersey’ Summit attracts leaders from Tri-County region

(Deptford, NJ) -- Gloucester County hosted the 12th Tri-County Economic Summit on Wed, Oct. 4 at Auletto Caterers. The crowd of 250 business leaders from Gloucester, Camden and Burlington Counties joined as a regional force to learn about ‘What’s Brewing in South Jersey’ focusing on what’s new and upcoming in tourism and the tri-county beverage tourism partners. Samples and tastes from many local wineries and breweries were served throughout the event.

Freeholder Heather Simmons, liaison to the Gloucester County Department of Economic Development, said, “The economic impact of tourism in our tri-county region continues to increase. In 2016 tourism sales in Gloucester County increased by five percent, and Camden and Burlington saw a three and two percent increase respectively. I believe we continue to see economic growth because we are innovative in our approach to helping assist businesses grow and by working across county boarders we enhance the quality of life for all of our residents.”
