(Woodbury, NJ)- Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger and Freeholder Jim Jefferson announced that the Gloucester County Division of Senior Services annual "Keep Cool" Fan Distribution for seniors will be take place on Wednesday, June 14.
Freeholder Director Damminger said, “With Memorial Day weekend right around he corner, the hot weather will soon be upon us. The Division of Senior Services 'Keep Cool' Fan Distribution is an opportunity for the county to help those seniors who are living on fixed income or a tight budget stay cool and comfortable during the summer season.”
Freeholder Jim Jefferson, liaison to the Division of Senior Services said, “For those seniors who do not have central air or live without window air conditioning units, fans are a useful tool to help keep their homes cool and prevent them from compromising their health when the weather heats up.”
Fan Distribution will take place on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Gloucester County’s Senior Services Offices, 115 Budd Blvd. in West Deptford.
Due to the limited amount of fans and under the guidelines set forth by the Older Americans Act, priority will be given to seniors 60 and above with low income or possessing a PAAD (Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled) or Medicaid card. Seniors must show PAAD (Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled) or Medicaid card to show low income.
