Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity County to Present Federal Medals to Veterans at Ceremony

WHAT:

Gloucester County Freeholders will hold a Federal Medal Ceremony to present 124 federal medals, 18 ribbons and 42 badges to Gloucester County Veterans. During the ceremony 22 Veterans will receive their due honors from the federal government; five presentations will be made posthumously. Over 150 people are expected to attend.

The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders hold a Special Medals Ceremony annually to present the awards that were obtained with the assistance of the Gloucester County Office of Veterans Affairs.

Among the Medals to be presented are the World War II Victory Medal, Purple Heart, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, and the Bronze Star.
