Teacher Workshops
In cooperation with NJDEP, and other environmental organizations, the Scotland Run Park Nature Center offers Educator Workshops that provide the materials and ideas to incorporate environmental topics into your curriculum. Environmental education is not just for science teachers! It's multidisciplinary and for any subject or grade level. The workshops are FREE and each participant receives an activity guide. New programs are being developed and the nature center will provide workshops as they become available. The workshops are: Project Wild (PW), Project WET (Water Education For Teachers), Project Learning Tree (PLT), Aquatic Project Wild (AW), Wild School Sites (WSS), Wonders of Wetlands (WOW), PW and PLT Preschool EE Workshops.
If you would like to have one of these workshops as an in-service, contact the nature center. Generally, the workshops are 6 hours long and a minimum of 15 participants is required. Professional development credits are available.
