James G. Atkinson Memorial Park is a 66 acre recreation area. This family-oriented facility has lighted softball/soccer fields; lighted tennis courts(6), pickle ball courts(4), and basketball courts; exercise trail for walking, jogging, and bicycling; two playgrounds and picnic areas. Atkinson park offers a pavilion that groups can reserve along with a ball field for their group's outing. Along the fitness trail you can visit Millenium Plaza, featuring a walking path, benches, and sundials representing the past and present. Millenium Plaza is a memorial to James G. Atkinson. There are also 4 exercise stations along the fitness trail each focusing on a different workout.

Directions From Points North I-295 to the North-South Freeway (Route 42) OR Philadelphia Bridges to the North-South Freeway Exit onto Route 55 (South) Route 55 to exit 53A "Pitman-Glassboro" - Woodbury-Glassboro Road (County Route 553) 3rd traffic light - make a left onto Lambs Road (County Route 635) At fork in the road - veer right onto Bethel Mill Road Side entrance to the park is 500 feet on the right

From Points West 322 East to Glassboro Make a left onto Route 47 "Delsea Drive" in Glassboro Head North on Route 47 - past the traffic light at E. Holly Ave. in Pitman At the next traffic light (Holly Dell Dr. on right - Park Place Blvd on left) Make a left onto Park Place Blvd. The park entrance is the first right off of Park Place Blvd. The side entrance to the park is on Bethel Mill Road, which intersects Delsea Drive (next to Elkins Chevrolet car dealership)
