The  Division of Senior Services is the primary planning, coordinating and funding agency for senior programs and services promoting the well-being, health, and independence of Gloucester County's older adults over the age of 60. The Division focuses especially on seniors who are vulnerable or frail and in greatest social and economic need.  

As the lead agency for Gloucester County's Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC), the Division assists elderly residents and their caregivers access the complex, long-term care, community-based, health and human services available to them.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life, improve the level of care, and to protect and preserve the human dignity of elderly persons who reside in Gloucester County. We promote, support and protect well- being and encourage informed choices that enhance quality of life for seniors and allow them to live in the community for as long as possible. 

Stress-Busting Program for Family Caregivers - Next session beginning October 10th - Sign up now to reserve your spot!

The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders recently introduced a new program for family caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia: Stress-Busting Program for Family Caregivers.TM

Caregiving can be extremely stressful.  This program teaches problem solving and stress management techniques as well as relaxation and coping strategies in a safe and supportive environment.  The program runs for 9 weeks for 90 minutes each week and is available at no cost to Gloucester County residents.  Please click here for details.

Family caregivers who have participated in this program have reported significantly lowered stress, depression, and anxiety as well as improved quality of life.
